SUBMIT YOUR CAT FOR A CHANCE TO BE PAINTED
Read the guidelines below, then email your photos for consideration!
Examples of what I'm looking for:
- good quality and well lit image
- cat is sticking their tongue is out
- their head is facing the camera, with full face and ears in the frame
- photo is cropped close to the face, as shown in example below
What I'm NOT looking for:
- cat is not sticking their tongue out
- image has cropped out ears/face
- blurry, poorly lit image
- head is facing away from the camera
I started my group cat painting The Sillies on August 28th, 2022. The theme for this one is cats sticking their tongue out in a silly way!
As of June 2025, over 16,000 photos have been submitted for consideration. I save the photos that spark painting inspiration to me, then I choose from those when I'm about to paint another cat in!
I will be sharing my favorite submissions and asking fellow artists to try their hand at painting cats. I also plan to make a book of all the best photos as well, as only a limited number of cats can be added to the painting itself.
After the painting is complete, I will make prints and jigsaw puzzles of it available for preorder in my Etsy shop. While it's still in progress, I've been sending mini prints of the completed sections to my Noodle Mail patreon supporters!

You can send multiple submissions, but please don't repeatedly submit the same photo multiple times.
You can send additional photos not relating to this particular theme as well, I may be interested in them for a different project!
